The Probe Light is a 6-piece aluminium probe that is 11 mm in diameter and 240cm long and has a drop-shaped probe tip. The Probe Light uses a lightweight, non-stretch Dyneema cord and a telescopic lock, which allows for easy assembly and interlock. With a new, improved lock this probe is safe and easy to operate with gloves on.

The metal has been treated to increase its resistance against corrosion and wear by increasing its strength and surface hardness. The base of the extendable shaft of the Alugator Light is integrated into the shovel blade, which makes for an extremely stable shovel design without excess weight. The extendable shaft allows for a small packing volume, as well as, a large excavating angle for ideal lifting action and efficient shovelling.

The Alugator Expert shovel is made from tempered and anodized aluminium. The metal has been treated to increase its resistance against corrosion and wear by increasing its strength and surface hardness. In addition, the blade is coated in Teflon to reduce friction and prevent icing.

Product Features:

A global novelty, the Pieps iPROBE Carbon, is an avalanche probe with integrated digital technology. It provides a hit and proximity reading of every standard beacon transmitter and enables a short-time deactivation of the detected transmitter (for transceivers with iPROBE support).

The first tone is emitted (beep, beep …) and the LED illuminates when the tip of the probe is about 2 meters from the transmitting beacon. At a distance of about 50cm, a continuous acoustic tone (beeeeeeeep) is emitted and the LED remains continuously illuminated.

The Backcountry Access Tracker 2 subtracts weight and size, and adds real-time display and a third receiving antenna to the best-selling, dead simple Tracker DTS. The third digital antenna increases accuracy and provides a strong buried signal in any orientation, while the real-time display eliminates lag time, allowing you to narrow your fine search zone quickly when seconds count. The Tracker 2's single search / transmit switch makes learning and teaching a snap, and reduces confusion when you hit adrenal overdrive.

The Arsenal probe system includes a full-length 240cm probe that is stowed inside the shovel grip. The probe can be instantly deployed from the shaft. Once the probe is deployed, the shovel is still fully functional: the shaft does not have to be removed from the blade and the grip is still intact!

Our Tarps and Shelters are made from ultralight waterproof ripstop nylon. This water-resistant ripstop nylon is incredibly strong and resilient for its ultralight weight! This fabric is the lightest water-resistant product available for this use. The Brooks-Range ultralite fabric used for our tarp shelters has an impressive strength-to-weight ratio and ability to protect in shear wind.
