The 45L Lifebag creates the perfect large pack for big missions. It is the ideal pack for industry professionals, ski tourers, and those who wish to carry a bit more. The Lifebag 45 is the only tube style pack in the Snowpulse line. It has 45L of internal storage capacity and is the largest in the Snowpulse line-up. There are two main vertical pockets, one for your probe and shovel, and one for the rest of your gear. The pack has compression straps so if you are not using all the space it can be cinched down to make it really low profile. There are ski attachment points and skis can be carried in an A frame or diagonally across the back.

Please note that the Snowpulse Cylinder has a samll O-Ring that needs to be changed after each deployment. If you plan on refilling your cylinder at a paintball shop or scuba shop that is not set up as an "official" Snowpulse refilling station - meaning it has O-Rings and has been trained on the filling of a Snowpulse cylinder - you should consider purchasing an ORING KIT (found in the Parts & Accessories section of the website). The O-Ring kit comes with everything you need, including instructions, to change the O-Ring and service your cylinder. My only complaint is that finding an authorized Snowpulse dealer to fill the air canister was difficult. But hopefully that issue will be resolved after there are distributors in the US. After some research I was able to find a scuba tank adapter that I took to a local dive shop to fill the air canister.

As these packs are so popular with sledders I'll also say this. Nothing replaces avalanche training. There are no guarantees in the mountains.

Another big advantage to Snowpulse is that they are inflated by an air canister that can be refilled at the Snow pulse dealer, at a dive shop or at a paint ball store for minimal cost.I skied with the air bag over 100 days and it held up very well, it is a high quality product. These guys are dedicated to making the best product possible. I had problems with the original waist buckle freezing and when I contacted the Snowpulse team the were receptive to my concerns and assured me they would correct the problem. Within a short time they sent me a new buckle and changed the buckle on their new packs. These guys have a great attitude, many times when you make a suggestion on how to improve a product the manufacturer blows you off, the Snowpulse team listens.
